Webinar: Simplifying Standards Development: A Case Study of Less Lethal Impact Munition Standards
August 25, 2020 @ 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm EDT

Presentation by Cassandra Robinson
August 25, 2020 – 12pm EST (Register Here)
Abstract
Standards are a critical part of ensuring that operational and protective equipment used by law enforcement and corrections personnel performs as expected and keeps officers safe.
More than a decade of working in this area has yielded lessons learned for dealing with the many challenges routinely experienced during the standards development process. Some challenges are how to get the right people involved, keep volunteers engaged, get stakeholder buy-in, and drive progress.
This presentation provides ideas for addressing those challenges and simplifying the process using the development of standards for less lethal impact munitions as an example.
