Looking to engage in standardization? There are many volunteer and employment opportunities in standardization available to you! Employment opportunities in standardization include positions as a standards professional, supporting the standards development process through marketing, sales, and management, and working at a conformity assessment body such as a test lab, inspection body, certification body, or accreditation body.
Volunteering your expertise and time by participating on a standards development committee, working group, or other body is a great educational and growth experience for any professional. Gain valuable leadership and consensus building skills, meet and network with others in the industry, and gain insights on how standards are developed and managed.
The following includes volunteer and employment opportunities identified by Women in Standards, but is not all inclusive. Check in often with any organizations you’d like to engage with to see up-to-date opportunities. (TIP: Check out the Women in Standards Directory of Standards Developing Organizations)
